Live demonstration for the American Secretary of Agriculture

4 February 2020 – During last week’s visit of Sonny Perdue, the United States Secretary of Agriculture, to Koppert Cress in Poeldijk, PATS got the opportunity to demonstrate its innovative solution. Pete Hoekstra, United States Ambassador to the Netherlands, accompanied Perdue, who visited Koppert Cress as part of a visit to Europe to discuss agriculture matters with the European Commission. 

The our through Koppert Cress’ state of the art greenhouse was complemented with presentations by four suppliers of Koppert Cress. PATS was invited for a demonstration as Koppert Cress is a launching customer for its automated insect control technology.

After a flight demonstration in the LED-greenhouse by Kevin van Hecke, CTO of PATS, the alternative approach to insect control with drone technology was briefly presented to Perdue and Hoekstra by Bram Tijmons and Rob Baan, CEO’s of PATS and Koppert Cress.
